This book, Pharmaceutical Analysis, has been compiled in two volumes. Volume 1 is divided into 23 chapters. This volume consists of illustration of some basic techniques like volumetric analysis, gravimetric analysis, kjeldahl method, karl Fischer titrations, etc. usually taught at undergraduate level in science and paramedical sciences. The chromatographic procedures like paper chromatography, TlC, column chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, HPLC, HPTLC are also included in this volume. The volumetric and chromatographic methods are discussed in detail as these are required in practical field. The new techniques like HPLC, HPTLC, affinity chromatography, supercritical chromatography, etc. are explained with examples. Each chapter is written in easy language, supplanted with self-explanatory figures, tables and appendices. Each basic technique is illustrated with examples. The assay procedure and analytical methods are resented according to recent Indian Pharmacopoeia.
